The first TAA junior match (for a long time) held at Maunsel lake one yesterday was a huge success!
A thoroughly enjoyable day for everyone! Congrats to all the anglers, everyone caught and had a great day, including all the parents that stayed all or pretty much most of the day, which was great to see. We finished off with a lovely BBQ, chef Mike did a stellar job! I believe everyone is still alive! 😉
Yet again all the lads and lady were extremely polite and a credit to their families and school!
The fishing was hard going though for all of them, the unexpected chilly NW wind made for a difficult day!

First place: Otis Alexander 7lb 1oz
Second: Josh Guest 6lb 7oz
Third: James Madeley 5lb 5oz

There were some very strange prize choices! Sixth place ended up with the best prize a £60 margin pole. Last place ended up with the second best prize, a £50 Browning match reel!
But everyone was really happy with their prize choices, which was our aim.
The next match will be open to all Juniors, we will keep you updated when it is 👍🏻
An extra special thanks to all the bailiff’s that gave up their day to help make this such a success, and the sponsors who made all of the great prizes possible!

Well done to James Caird today, a new PB bream of 8lb 7oz and a new Tench PB of 3lb 10oz from Maunsel lake one, James fished sweetcorn over mixed pellet, he also had lots of small Carp and Roach. Maybe you could show your dad how to catch the bigger fish!
